Analisis Multidimensi Narasi Matius 8

The background of the research is, First, Jesus is considered as a pro-Jewish person. Secondly, this text is considered within the framework of religious moderation. Thirdly, it emphasises Roman culture when explaining the term ‘pais’ (child). Fourthly, it doubts the healing that Jesus did - it was just a pretence. Considering this, the method used in this research is qualitative hermeneutic with Grant R. Osborne's narrative criticism steps. Based on the literature review, this research is important because previous studies did not discuss narrative texts based on Grant R. Osborne's aspects. Therefore, this study serves as an evaluation and contribution to other studies. In addition, this article aims to show the importance of examining narrative texts based on the aspects of narrative criticism. Analysing the dimensions can help the reader to follow the storyline so as to characterise the psychology, ideology, conflicts, strengths and weaknesses of a characterisation, as well as provide an accurate interpretation.
Yang melatarbelakangi penelitian yaitu, Pertama, Yesus dinilai sebagai orang yang pro dengan non Yahudi. Kedua, teks ini dinilai dalam kerangka moderasi beragama. Ketiga, menekankan kebudayaan Romawi ketika menjelaskan istilah “pais” (anak). Keempat, meragukan penyembuhan yang Yesus lakukan – hanya berpura-pura. Mencermati hal tersebut, metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif hermeneutik dengan langkah-langkah kritik narasi Grant R. Osborne. Berdasarkan studi literatur, penelitian ini penting dikarenakan penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya tidak membahas teks narasi berdasarkan berdasarkan aspek-aspek yang digunakan Grant R. Osborne. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini berfungsi sebagai evaluasi dan kontribusi bagi penelitian lainnya. Selain itu, artikel ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan akan pentingnya meneliti teks-teks narasi berdasarkan spek-aspek kritik narasi. Analisis terhadap dimensi-dimensi mampu menolong pembaca untuk mengikuti alur cerita sehingga memberikan karakteristik psikologi, ideologi, konflik, kekuatan dan kelemahan dalam sebuah penokohan, serta memberikan penafsiran dengan tepat.
